I know some of you may be wondering why I am only talking about the Clarisonic now when it has been on the market for a while. However, I have to admit that I was sceptical to try it as I really didn't believe a face brush would work for my skin. Fast forward and 4 days into using the Clarisonic Aria(*), I can honestly say that I have never seen and felt visible results so early on from using a product. So I decided to share my first impressions with you.
The Clarisonic Aria promises to:
Cleanse your skin up to 6x better than normal cleansing
Reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles
Cleanses so thoroughly, it enables skin care products absorb better
I have extremely oily skin and as a result tend to have regular breakouts. Even if I do not have a breakout, my pores get clogged which I find really frustrating as I've always thought I had a good cleansing regime. As this is a first impressions post, I cannot comment yet about whether the appearance of my pores have reduced (I will update this post in 6 weeks). However, after I used the Clarisonic Aria for the first time, my skin felt so soft and my pores were unglogged. I was so excited by this (yes..it's the simple things!) that I messaged my sisters to tell them how great it felt. My skin had never really had that smooth, soft texture after cleansing. It also looks much brighter and my skin care products are absorbing into my skin much easier than before.
The Clarisonic Aria has 3 speeds (Delicate, Universal & Powerful) depending on your preference. I've been using the universal setting. The brush head is not harsh and is also interchangeable (you can buy different brush heads for specific skin type conditions). I ususally take my makeup off first then cleanse using the Clarisonic to prevent the brush from getting stained. It also has a cleansing timer which beeps indicating that is time to move to another part of your face. You can either use the one or two minutes cycle. The Aria has a drying stand and is also rechargeable.
I am definitely excited to see how my skin changes in the upcoming weeks. As mentioned earlier, I have never noticed results overnight after using a product for the first time like I have with the Aria. Based on my results, I definitely think it's worth considering adding to your skincare regime. I now actually wonder why I didn't use it earlier. But as they say, it's better late than never. I will update this post in 6 weeks and will let you know how I've got on.
The Clarisonic Aria retails at around £155 which is on the steep end but I think it is worth the investment.
Have you tried any products from the Clarisonic range?
Thanks for reading!
