GlowwBox aims to tackle this issue and is a monthly subscription beauty box suitable for women of colour. The box promises to include more full sized luxury products compared to other boxes on the market. Each month, subscribers will receive a mix of full and trial sized beauty (hair care, skin care and makeup) products that are suitable for women with darker skin tones.
Below is a sample of the September box that I was kindly sent to try out.
1. Mehron Velvet Finish Primer Serum (full size)
2. Akoma Shea Million & Spatula
3. NYX Cosmetics Round Lip Gloss (Kiss) (full size)
4. Root2Tip Scalp Hydration Serum (full size)
5. Bomb Cosmetics Cute as Cupcake Bath Creamer (full size)
As you can see from the picture above, the box includes a number of full sized items. I have only heard of NYX Cosmetics and not the other brands. But I think that isn't a bad thing at all as it is nice to discover other brands. The box retails at £15 per month (+p&p) which is more pricey than your average beauty box but not far off. In addition, the contents of the box are usually worth more that what you're paying. The above box is worth £37.07. You also get a little card which gives you more information on the products and where you can buy them. You can sign up via their website (www.glowwbox.com).
The box is impressive, hopefully more boxes will be as good as this one.
What do you think of the concept behind GlowwBox? Are you a fan of beauty boxes?
