Ladies, it's all about curling your eyelashes on the blog today. I have been blessed with extremely curly lashes which when I was growing up, I always used to complain and say "I wish my lashes were longer and more straight like my friends". Little did I know that my friends also wanted curly lashes. I remember looking through their makeup bags and always wanted to have an eyelash curler. However, having grown up, you accept things and appreciate them for what they are. I now love my lashes and wouldn't want to change them.
After that little intro, you may be wondering why I'm reviewing an eyelash curler. I received the Japonesque Pink Heated Mini Eyelash Curler (*) and as I knew I wouldn't really need it, I gave it to a friend to try out. I did try it out, but it really made my lashes even more curly...you almost couldn't see where the curl stopped. So I thought it would be put to better use with one of my friends who has really long straight lashes.
The Heated Mini Eyelash Curler is designed to create a "deep sweeping curl for hard to curl lashes". The Heated Mini Eyelash curler is said to "lift and curl the lashes" without the risk of them breaking. It can be used prior to or after using your mascara.
Unfortunately I couldn't post a before and after photo of the eyelashes as my friend didn't want her face on the internet (understandable!). But trust me when I say, it works. It doesn't get too hot, so you don't have to worry about it burning off your eyelashes. You need to let it heat for about 15 seconds. It literally curls the lashes in less than 20 seconds. It uses 1 AAA battery (which comes with the product) but be aware of the fact that it does drain the battery quickly. My friend used it before she went to work (7am) and by the time she got home (6:30pm) her lashes where still curly. She mentioned that it wasn't as curly as when she used it in the morning, but was still impressed with how it looked by the end of the day. She also said she would recommend it to other friends.
This product retails at £12.50 and if in the UK, you can pick this up online. I've found it on Amazon and HQHair.
What do you think this product? Will you be rushing out to get it?
