Ladies, where do I begin to describe my love for Argan oil? Seriously I am in love!! For months I heard my friends raving about the wonders of Argan oil but was never bothered to try it out. I mean it was on my list of things to try, but was never urgent. So when I received this bottle in a beauty box, I was excited.
Argan oil is native to Morrocco and is often referred to as "liquid gold" as it helps to improve various skin conditions. I use this 100% organic Argan oil as seen above daily (in the morning and at night) after I have washed and cleansed my skin. I also use a little amount in my hair (yes...hair!) now and again as it conditions my hair and gives it an incredible shine. Argan oil is a multipurpose oil and is not as greasy as you would expect. When you apply it, it gets absorbed into your skin pretty quickly.
I have been using this oil for some months now and I can tell you that it has worked wonders for my skin. It has cleared up blemishes left over from spots and has worked well in evening out my skintone. It also makes my skin feel incredibly soft and nourished. I also need to mention that I have oily skin, but this worked really well as it wasn't greasy. My issue though is that this product has a horrible smell (not all products containing Argan oil smell). It smells like how you would expect a farm or farm animals to smell. Weird. Nonetheless, I have to grin and bare it as it works well for me. I guess the fact that it smells so bad means that it works and it's pure right?!...
Some benefits of Argan oil
1. Antioxidant ~ It contains vitamins C & E
2. Reduces skin imperfections
3. Softens dry skin
4. Reduces the appearance of wrinkles
5. Hydrates, strengthens, restores and smooths hair preventing any damage
There are so many other benefits of using Argan oil. Some people also use it to cook as it lowers cholesterol levels. You can pick this up online here. Now although pure Argan oil can be quite pricey, this bottle was cheap in comparison. It retails at around £10 for 60ml which I don't think is bad at all. I've been using mine twice a day for months now and I haven't even got half way through the bottle yet. You don't need to use that much at all.
As the title of this post suggests, I love this oil and don't think I will stop using it as I have noticed a change in my skin.
Are you a fan of Argan oil? Have you ever tried it before?
