I'm loving anything and everything Autumn related at the moment (apart from the rain and cold). With
that in mind, I love changing up my nail polish colours to deeper
tones. I was shopping recently and came across this gorgeous shade by Rimmel London ~ "391 Celebrity Bash". This shade is part of their Lycra Professional Finish range. It promises "chip resistance" and contains an anti-fade colour system which also promises to keep the colour fresh for up to 10 days. I usually change my nail colours every few days so wouldn't keep it this long, but I will test it out and see if it's true. I've had it on for two days and so far so good. This shade is a deep berry red (suprise surprise..another red nail polish!) which is a perfect for Autumn/Winter. It also features a "Maxi Brush" (I wish this was standard for all nail polishes)
that makes application so simple. From the picture below, you can see
that the brush is wide enough for you to get right into the edges of your nails avoiding any mistakes.
This is quite a rich polish but depending on the look you're going for, you may need two coats. I used two coats in the picture below. What I liked was that the nail polish dried to the same colour as when I applied it. Don't you just hate it when you apply polishes and they end up looking completely different?!! This nail polish has a great shine to it so you do not need a top coat (I didn't use a top coat in the pictures). It also dries relatively quickly. What do you think of the colour?
The nail polish retails at £4.59 for 12ml. I am happy with the polish and I would purchase it again if I needed to.
Have you tried any polishes from the Rimmel Lycra Professional Finish range?
Thanks for reading!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments ladies. It is definitely a great colour for Autumn :)
ReplyDeleteLovely colour! Rimmel has the most beautiful reds :) I've had about 5 of them, from Rimmel. Like you said: the colour is exactly what you expect it to be!
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried this colour yet, it's beautiful!
Too bad they don't actually last 10 days!

Looks amazing. Rimmel London are really on point with their stuff and offer such great value for money. I am going to buy this but I am a stickler for Top Coat so will be applying it. It just feels wrong not to.
