LOOK 1 ~ COCKTAILS & DINNER
If you're being taken to an upscale restaurant where jeans are forbidden, now would be the time to get out that dress you've been waiting to wear. But remember, you don't want to look like you've tried too hard or feel uncomfortable in what you're wearing. The aim is to look elegant. Owning a black dress or rather "LDB" would definitely come in handy as you can pair it up with some fabulous heels. As we all know, wearing black gives a slimmer outline and you are able to hide any bits you don't want on display. You don't have to stick to black, just whatever colour you are comfortable with. It doesn't matter how much it costs, but rather how you look and feel in it.
1. TOPSHOP Twist Rib Skater Dress, 2. Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre Scarf from Bottica, 3. COAST Batilda Clutch, 4. NINE WEST Cold Feet
With this look, I would wear gold jewellery but would keep it minimal as the clutch and shoes are already quite striking. Hair and makeup can be glam but not over the top. Now all that's left is for you to enjoy your date!
LOOK 2 ~ CASUAL
Just because you're going for a casual look doesn't mean you should lose your sense of style. This look is for a more relaxed chilled out evening. I would wear this if going to the cinema or going for a meal where I wouldn't have to make too much of an effort.
1. InLOVEWithFashion Popcorn Knit Heart Jumper in Black, 2. H & M White Vest, 3. MANGO Slim Blue Jeans, 4. TORY BURCH Chelsea Ballet Flat in Blue, 5. ENRICO COVERI Cashmere Pashmina in Red
The red scarf adds a pop of colour to the outfit. This look combined with simple makeup looks stylish, as if you haven't made that much of an effort (which you actually haven't). If you are one of those ladies who prefers heels over flats, that would also work.
What do you think of both looks?
