This is usually a common problem during colder months but some people get it all year round.
Well if this sounds like you, do not fear! Just as we exfoliate the dead skin on our faces and the rest of our body, it is sometimes necessary to do the same for our lips now and again. This homemade scrub is really simple to make.
You will need the following:
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 tablespoon of coarse sugar
Once you have mixed the ingredients, apply it to your lips gently, ensuring that you really rub it into your lips to remove the dead skin cells. When done, wash your lips with warm water to reveal luscious soft lips. I normally apply the Vaseline aloe vera balm to give it that extra smoothness and softness. You can then apply your lipstick or lipgloss.
Try it out and see, it really works! You can substitute the sugar for coarse salt. Please let me know if any of you have tried this out before.
I haven't tried this method, but will give it a go. I've heard of applying a bit of vaseline to a toothbrush and gently brushing it over your lips to get rid of flaky skin. That may be one to keep in mind also.
ReplyDelete@Amal, yes it's definitely worth a try!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite method! I use it too! After i've scrubbed my lips, i wash it off and use a little more olive oil as a lipbalm to hydrate my lips. Love it!
