I've been on the hunt for a black leather jacket recently. You know when you've already designed the ultimate jacket in your head, you've pictured yourself walking down the runway that is your bedroom and the next step is to actually find one that fits the spec? Well that's the stage I'm at now. I know what I want, but I just have to find it! Spring is fast approaching (depending on where you live) and it's a great relief to be able to put away that heavy winter coat. I think a leather jacket is an extremely versatile item which you could wear throughout the year (extra layers during winter and less in summer). Whether you've got a t-shirt and jeans on or even a simple maxi dress, the leather jacket can finish off the look. It is definitely worthy of a spot in your wardrobe.
There are of course faux leather jackets around which do look nice, but from my experience they do not last. If you do go all out and spend quite a bit on the jacket, just view the purchase as an investment. Real leather jackets are extremely long lasting.
I have picked out a style that has caught my eye and is currently available at different brands at a range of prices; the quilted leather biker jacket.
