These are possibly my two favourite fragrances from Jo Malone; Orange Blossom & Vanilla Anise. I like a few others (Nectarine Blossom & Honey), but I think these two take top spot. If you haven't tried them, it's worth a spritz next time you're in one of the stores!
They come in two sizes (30ml & 100ml) so you're able to keep one in your handbag and leave the bigger bottle at home.
Jo Malone describes the Orange Blossom cologne as, "A shimmering garden oasis. Clementine flower sparkles over a heart of
orange blossom and water lily, with warm undertones of orris and
balsamic vetiver." I have never been a fan of fruity scents but honestly, this has something fresh to it. It is not overpowering but at the same time, I find that it lasts throughout the day. The mix of the orange blossom and water lily really works well.
The Vanilla Anise is described as,"fresh and modern cologne blends the delicate scent of the vanilla orchid
with vanilla bourbon and envelops the skin with an aromatic richness
that truly blooms with the warmth of the body." Wow what a description! I find that this frangrance is stronger than the Orange Blossom. It is not that sweet smelling sugary vanilla that you are probably thinking, it's more "sensual" and spicy. It could be better suited as an evening frangrance.

I'll have to give the vanilla a smell next time I'm out, not a fan of orangy scents!
ReplyDelete@Amal - yes do! I also was never a fan of fruity scents, but the orange is a subtle scent.
ReplyDeleteI haven’t tried this yet, but I have heard so many good things about it from bloggers and magazines. Great review, I might have to get it now! :)
